My wife and I are super-stoked with our Sunset shed from Wellmade. The entire experience was positive and we’re really pleased with the build quality and aesthetics of the shed.
The thing I want to emphasize most is the simplicity of the entire process. Most house projects we’ve done in the past have been friction filled. We’ve had to coordinate with various vendors, stress over myriad project details, and research materials without really having confidence in what we’re deciding. I can’t think of one house project that hasn’t had delays because of the difficulty in having the stars perfectly align for all the above (everyone is available, all materials are secured, all plan details are locked down).
Working with Wellmade on our shed was the complete opposite. My wife called it “instant gratification”. We had a couple simple video calls to walkthrough the space and discuss some details. I visited the WellMade office to look at the floor model. Once we decided to pull the trigger and schedule the date we filled out a simple spec sheet for things like wood color, window orientation, air conditioning, etc. When the start date came it was 5 and half days until the shed was done. The crew was amazing, hard working and not at all disruptive. When they finished there wasn’t a trace of construction debris which speaks volumes about their respect for a client’s property.
In the end, we have a quality home office / guest shed that aligns with our aesthetic sensibilities and we got it done with no stress or headaches. Thank you Masha, Andre and Sergey.

Absolutely in awe with our new backyard unit. We chose a Presidio to have a relaxing space where to listen to jazz records, read and enjoy a drink. It looks amazing and it was built in just 5 days! We had a wonderful experience working with Wellmade. We went with the Presidio model to be used as a two person office and while we were initially concerned that it might feel tight for two workspaces it turned out to be quite comfortable. The project came out great and just as we had imagined. It looks exactly like it did in the pictures. We are also glad we went with some of the extra features like the heated floor and skylight.
We had the most wonderful experience with Wellmade. Everything was perfect, from start to finish. I am in love with my new studio office! The build crew (Sergey, Andre and Anthony) were so professional, hardworking and respectful. They worked so hard on the project and completed everything right on time. We are extremely happy with the Sunset shed and would definitely recommend Wellmade. The process went very smoothly. Our shed was finished in 6 business days. We were amazed at the quick progress each day. The crew started early and worked full days. They were very nice and communicated really well throughout the process. We came across the website for Wellmade when searching for options of creating an outdoor office/gym for our house in the east bay. It was helpful that the company was from the area and we were able visit and preview some of the finished sheds nearby. were definitely impressed with the design and layout. It was a great experience working with team and we were impressed with how quickly it was built and assembled. Also, six months later after we noticed some issues with the skylights the team was very prompt and corrected the issue as covered by the warranty. Overall would highly recommend them

We started in 2020 while most of the world was needing extra space to live comfortably. We've seen some great success since then, and we continue to focus on providing extra space to work, live and play.
We comfortably serve the west coast (California, Oregon, Washington). Occasionally, we get inquiries from other parts of the country, and we discuss those projects individually to make sure we're a good fit for the project.
We have a fully-built Presidio shed in our showroom. You can make an appointment to see it here. We have other units installed throughout California. If you'd like to visit one of our client's units, please work with a Wellmade representative to organize a visit. We'll check to make sure it's not disruptive to their busy schedule.
Usually, no. Our saunas are intentionally designed to be within the square footage and height requirements that allow for permit-free compliance in most jurisdictions. We handle the design and fabrication so you don't have to worry about the paperwork.
Our prefab process is incredibly fast. You can expect the installation to take only 4–5 days of on-site work. From the day you enter into agreement until you're ready to use your sauna, the total timeline is typically 2–3 months. This includes the time needed for fabrication and scheduling.
We believe in total transparency because you don't like surprises, and neither do we. The prices you see for the Laurel and Bernal models are the final price. This includes the unit fabrication, the full installation, and all necessary taxes. The only things that might adjust the price are custom site conditions or any customizations you choose.
That's exactly why we developed our system! Unlike traditional builds, our proprietary prefabricated panelized system eliminates the need for cranes. Each panel is sized to fit through any standard doorway, and everything is carried by hand to the installation site. If other companies have turned you away due to access constraints, let us know. We love a challenge!
Our saunas are installed using a concrete pier foundation that ensures your unit is perfectly level, even on slightly uneven areas. This simple, effective system minimizes site disruption and makes installation quick and clean.
Both models are 52 ft² and can accommodate up to 8 people.
Each of our saunas includes a high-quality electric sauna heater designed for fast and consistent heat. The base model comes with a 6kW heater, but can be upgraded to a more powerful model if you’d like.
We use only premium materials built for longevity and the specific demands of a sauna environment. This includes high-grade, durable cedar for the interior finishes and benches, ensuring a safe and authentic experience. The entire structure is built using our strong prefab panelized system, all of which is 100% produced in California.
You bet. We offer a comprehensive 5-year warranty starting from the date of project completion. This covers structural and cosmetic defects resulting directly from our construction work, giving you peace of mind that your new sweat lodge is built to last.
We use traditional construction methods that meet or exceed the quality standards you're used to; but we've engineered the process to do most of the work in our warehouse. We make panels for our prefab ADUs and prefab sheds that fit together like a puzzle on your property, thereby minimizing disruption on-site. Absolutely! Most of our clients have something custom to fit their individual needs. There are some limitations due to our prefab process, but your sales representative will be best suited to work out those details with you.
We do the work so you don't have to. Our customers say it's the easiest home project they've ever done. Our team of project managers make sure that there's nothing you need to worry about.
Not at all. We're planning to do everything for you with a full turnkey service. That means we can remove an existing structure, connect utilities, and process permits. If, of course, you'd like to do anything yourself with your own contractors, we can remove those details from our scope and quote.
Not really, no. We work closely with you to make sure we understand the project before getting started. Many of our clients go on vacation while we perform the install. However, it would be best to be available on the first day of installation to confirm placement and location.
Our prefab process streamlines installation and we can usually complete the project faster than others. If you have a tight timeline, be sure to communicate it to your sales representative so they can work with you on timing.
Our prefab sheds take about 5-8 days to install, and we usually book those appointments 2-3 months after entering an agreement. Our prefab ADUs take about 5-6 weeks to install, and we book those appointments shortly after obtaining your permits.

We certainly can, but we usually don't have to. After an intitial introductory call, your sales representative will perform an Virtual Site Visit where you will walk around your property while on a video meeting, and we'll record it. If we see any reason to go to the site ourselves, we'll send someone. But 95% of the time a virtual site visit is sufficient.

Manufacturer Warranties
Any equipment purchased from Wellmade is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, not Wellmade’s. These warranties will be passed on to you as allowed by law.
